# Multi-trades

## Overview

Multitrades is a feature that allows you to choose whether or not multiple trades can be opened at the same time on the same asset.

This setting applies only to **trading strategies**. For investing, it is **always enabled**, because an investor can accumulate positions freely, without restriction, unlike trading where each entry and exit is managed more strictly.

## Multitrades disabled

* If a trade is already in progress on an asset, **no new trade can be opened** until the previous one is closed.
* This option enables stricter capital management by limiting simultaneous exposure on the same asset.

## Multitrades enabled

* Multiple trades can be **opened in parallel** on the same asset.
* This allows executing multiple successive entry signals without waiting for the previous trade to close.
